Cape Town Outdoor Photographer | Kogelbaai Portraits in the Wild

As a Cape Town outdoor photographer, I’m always drawn to places that merge energy and nature. Kogelbaai—just outside Gordon’s Bay—is one of those wild locations where landscape, light, and movement come together effortlessly. Towering cliffs, crashing waves, textured rock—it’s the kind of place where you don’t need to manufacture drama; it’s already there.

This shoot wasn’t just about standing still. It was about movement—walking, climbing, connecting with the raw elements of the coastline. We kept it light and dynamic, with windblown hair, bare feet on rock, and the salt of the ocean in every frame.

Growing up in Cape Town, I know these coastlines intimately. I don’t just show up to a location—I know when the light hits just right, when the tides shift, and how to find the less-traveled angles that make an image feel both natural and powerful.

Whether I’m working with athletes, models, or brands, my approach is always rooted in the landscape—letting the environment guide the story. This is what defines my work as a Cape Town outdoor photographer: an honest, energetic style that reflects the spirit of the terrain and the person in it.
